The title of my recipes should be called “No measuring required” because that is how I was taught to cook by my grandmothers. It’s hard for me to give exact measurements since I just slice, dice, and toss.
This is another one of those recipes where you can’t go wrong. Really! There is no right or wrong amount to use. If you like something, add more. If you don’t like it, leave it off. This makes an awesome appetizer or is a great substitute for the same old dinner rolls.
The possibilities are endless.
Ingredients
- 1 ( 8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened or 1 (12 oz) cream cheese spread
- 1 (4.5 ounce) package bacon bits
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 4 Tbs ranch dressing
- Approx 6 green onions chopped
- 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees c).
3. On a lightly floured surface, unroll the crescent rolls lengthwise and form into a long rectangle.
4. Thinly spread the cream cheese mixture on the dough.
5. Sprinkle bacon bits, onion, and shredded cheese evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
6. Starting with the long edge of the rectangle, roll the dough into a long, thin roll.
7. Slice the roll into 1/4 inch thick pieces.
8. Place rolls on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until brown.
